La Dra. Martí se licenció en Biología por la Universidad de Barcelona en 1990. Realizó su doctorado en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona en 1994. Posteriormente se convirtió en miembro del servicio de imagen de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona y, en 2002, fue nombrada directora de investigación del servicio de imagen en la misma universidad.
